A 38-year-old St. Joseph resident has been arrested, suspected in two armed robberies late Monday night.
St. Joseph police say the reports of armed robberies came nearly at the same time, about half an hour before midnight. In the first, the suspect is reported to enter U.S. Oil at 601 South 22nd Street with a firearm, allegedly stealing property. Shortly after, an armed robber threatened a clerk at Woods, 1334 Frederick, demanding and leaving with cash.
Police arrested the suspect shortly before midnight while he was on foot in the 900 block of North 20th Street.
Police report officers arrested a suspected accomplice, a 28-year-old St. Joseph resident, in the 29-Hundred block of Patee Street around one o’clock Tuesday morning.
