Daniel Lee Craig, 67, of Lansing, KS passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. 

Daniel was born on March 31, 1958 in Chelsea, MA to Edward A. Craig (Leavenworth, KS) and Melba (Peggy) K. Craig (Gwartney) (Leavenworth, KS). He graduated Lansing High School in 1976 and joined the United Stated Navy following graduation. He departed the Navy in 1980 and returned to Lansing where he became a father to his four children.

He attended Atchison Vocational School to become a licensed electrician and retired from IBEW Local 124 Electrical Union in 2022.

In 2008, he met the love of his life, Karen Puckett, who would remain his life partner until his death. 

Daniel was a loyal sports fan. He never missed a Royals game. He loved to golf, spend time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, watching John Wayne, and hanging out with friends at the tavern. He was a founding member of the Royal Order of the Elephants. 

Daniel is preceded in death by his father and mother and his two brothers Michael E. Craig and James R. Craig. 

He is survived by Karen K. Puckett (Lansing), his brother John (Della) Craig (Lansing), his four children Danielle (Jordan) Charest (Leavenworth), Kelli (Pecos) Miller (Leavenworth), Kacey (Sean) Frederick (Lansing), and Kyle Craig (Lansing) and two stepchildren, Bill Puckett and Crystal McConnaughey (Leavenworth). He is survived by eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
