BUCHANAN COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Wednesday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Polaris Ranger driven by a 15-year-old Easton boy was northbound on 85th Road at U.S. 36 three miles east of St. Joseph.
The UTV crossed into the path of a westbound 2013 Chevy Traverse driven by a 37-year-old Calhoun man. The UTV struck the drivers side of the SUV. After impact the UTV overturned and came to rest on the north shoulder of U.S. 36. The SUV traveled off the north side of the road and came to rest in a field.
Buchanan County EMS transported the UTV driver and a 16-year-old St. Joseph boy to Mosaic Life Care. A private vehicle transported a 13-year-old Easton boy to Mosaic. The teens were passengers on the UTV. The SUV driver was properly restrained and not injured, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
