A steel manufacturer will expand in St. Joseph.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development reports Interlock Steel Structures will expand its 43,000-square-foot factory with a $773,000 investment. The expansion will create four jobs.

Interlock Steel says the increased capacity will make the factory more productive and allow the company to produce its own steel sheeting line while manufacturing fencing, railing, and gates products.

“Interlock Steel Structures’ expansion is great news for the St. Joseph area and our state,” Gov. Mike Parson said in a written statement released by his office. “Missouri continues to receive national attention for our low cost of doing business and exceptional job growth. Companies like Interlock Steel Structures are making this possible through significant investments that are improving lives and strengthening communities.”
