ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 4p.m. Sunday in Atchison County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Toyota Camry driven by Partha Chowdhury, 52, Blue Springs, was westbound on Atchison Street in the city of Atchison.
The driver failed to stop at the stop sign on 8th Street and struck a southbound 2020 GMC Sierra driven by Clinton Ellerman, 47, Atchison. After impact, the Toyota left the roadway and struck a power pole.
EMS transported a passenger in the passenger in the pickup Jamie Goodpasture, 44, Atchison, to Amberwell. The drivers were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
