Loretta (Milbourn) Evans, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
She was born on March 16, 1942, to Clifford S. and Norma M. (Broce) Milbourn in Andrew County, Missouri.
She graduated from Savannah High School in 1960.
Loretta worked as a production and inventory planner at Altec in St. Joseph for many years.
She was a longtime member of Central Christian Church.
On October 17, 1980, she married William L. Evans Sr. at their church. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2020.
Loretta was an avid reader and spent a lot of time at the Rolling Hills Library. She loved watching crime/mystery shows, while enjoying a cup of coffee and some chocolate. Loretta also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles.
She was a compassionate and giving woman, and often donated to St. Jude’s. Her family remembers her for her sweet and goofy personality and being a devoted mother and grandmother. She always spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her beloved family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and children, Christina Moutray, William Evans Jr., and Edward Evans.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Moutray, Eric Moutray, Linda McCoy and Timothy Evans; grandchildren, Sarah, Kaelyn, Danny, Kelsee and Kohl; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Aida, Ethan, Nathan, Masen, Maclyn, Marlie, Korah, Levi, Colsyn and Lillian; and siblings, Virgil Milbourn, Gary Milbourn, Trudy Neal and Linda Huber.
