Homer Junior Cantrell, 93, of Gower, MO passed away January 20, 2025.
He was born on December 15, 1931, to Homer Jackson and Agnes Anna (Wolgamontt) Cantrell in Granby, Missouri where he grew up and graduated from Granby High School. During high school he played basketball.
On June 25, 1962, he was united in marriage to Beulah Frances Adkins. After their marriage they lived on the farm in rural Gower where they made their home.
Homer was a member of Frazier Baptist Church. He retired as a truck driver from KC 4 in Kansas City and was an avid livestock farmer. Homer enjoyed fishing and feeding his catfish. Most of all he loved hosting family and friends on the dock at the pond.
He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Agnes Cantrell, his daughter Donna Demster; grandsons Stephen Cantrell and Mitchell Peppers, Jr.; brother Leon Cantrell; and sister Carolyn Walters.
Homer is survived by his wife Beulah Cantrell; children Danny Michael (Nina) Cantrell, Terry Peppers, Michelle (George) Chase, Jenelle (Rick) Bish, Kim Humphrey, Keith (Brenda) Cantrell, Mark (Patty) Cantrell; honorary sons Dennis Humphrey, Mitchell Peppers, Kevin Everett and Shane Everett; 23 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday January 23rd at Frazier Baptist Church in Agency, MO. Burial at Allen Cemetery, Gower, MO.
