St. Joseph Board
of Education members have appointed a retired Altec executive to fill the vacancy
left when Rick Gehring unexpectedly resigned.

Tom Richmond emerged
from a group of seven which applied for the seat.

The board interviewed
the seven during a four-hour session. Richmond will fill the vacant seat until
April of next year.

Richmond served as
a member of the St. Joseph School District Finance Committee. He also serves as
a volunteer on numerous boards and local organizations.
