Beverly L’Hommedieu, 80, Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
She was born on December 1, 1944, in Altoona, Iowa, to LeRoy and Viola Iske.
Beverly married Duane L’Hommedieu on December 9th, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 7th, 2018.
She was medical records director for Veterans Administration Cameron Missouri.
She and Duane helped establish churches in St. Joseph, Maysville, Excelsior Springs, and Arkoe, Missouri. She was currently a member of Restoration Church in Cameron, Missouri, and also was a member of Zion’s Trumpet. The couple also farmed together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; and four siblings. Survivors include sister, Deanna Manteufel of Gladstone, Missouri; daughter, Sheri Kerns (Don) of Dearborn, Missouri; grandchildren, Mikayla Hoover (Scott), and Aaron Dodds (Kayla) and their children, Levi and Sam; sister-in-law, Yvonne Freeman; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment will be 2:00PM Saturday May 3, 2025, at the Greenlawn Cemetery Plattsburg Missouri. The family will gather with friends at the US Bank in Plattsburg immediately following the service, for refreshments.
