Donald Glenn Caywood was born in Fillmore, Missouri onNovember 27, 1942. He was one of three children born to Clyde M. and Violet May (Pixler) Caywood.
Donald graduated from Fillmore High School and farmed in the Fillmore area.
Donald also worked as an equipment operator for the Andrew County Road and Bridge Department for 25 years. OnNovember 8, 1986 he married Ramona (Hughes) Edwards. Following his retirement, Donald and Ramona moved to Savannah.
Donald passed away at a St. Joseph, Missouri hospital onNovember 24, 2022, three days before celebrating his 80th birthday.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Tamey Grubb; sister, Dorothy Caywood; and brother, Richard Caywood.
Survivors include his wife Ramona, of their Savannah, Missouri home; stepchildren Tanya Edwards, Savannah, Richard (Jenny) Edwards, Savannah, and Ginger (Dan) Mason, Erie, Kansas; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; nephew, Eddie (Denise) Caywood, Savannah; nieces, Linda (Steve) Lance and Vickie (Shawn) Oliver, both of Fillmore; seven great nieces and nephews; and 11 great great nieces and nephews.
Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and entering garden tractor pulls with his family. Funeral services: Monday, November 28, 2022, 2:00 pm, First Baptist Church, Savannah, Missouri. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 at the church.
