Juanita Rose (Field) Moberg 1925 - 2023

Juanita Rose (Field) Moberg of Savannah, Mo. passed away Sunday, November 19th, 2023 at local care facility in Savannah.  She was born near Savannah to Harry and Dollie “Susie” (Nold) Field on October 28, 1925. She attended the Howard School near Savannah for eight years and then went on to Savannah High School, graduating in 1943.

Following graduation, as her plan through high school was to go into office work, she entered Platt-Gard Business School in St. Joseph. Following this, she went to work at Tootle-Campbell Wholesale Dry Goods as secretary to the credit manager, then the treasurer, then the president, then on to accounts payable clerk for both their St. Joseph and Omaha offices for 17 years. In 1969 she went to work for Glen Zahnd in his law office in Savannah as his secretary, retiring in 1988.

On February 12, 1950, she married Kenneth Moberg of St. Joseph at the Savannah United Methodist Church. They lived in St. Joseph until 1964 when they built their home on her home-place on Route T, Savannah.

She was an active member of the Savannah United Methodist Church most of her lifetime being Church Treasurer for many years.  She was a member of Business and Professional Women’s Club, Cheerie Housewives (formerly Extension CIub), Friendly Neighbors Club, Rosendale Garden Club, The Jesse James Red Hat Club of St. Joseph, and the Savannah Women"s Club.  Her favorite hobby was working in the yard with her many flowers.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Kenny in 2002, her father in 1977 and her mother in 1994. She is survived by many cousin sand friends who were very dear to her.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at The United Methodist Church in Savannah, MO. A gathering of family and friends will be 10:00am - 11:00am Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at The United Methodist Church in Savannah, MO. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
