About 800 athletes will participate in the West Regional Basketball Tournament in St. Joseph for Special Olympics Missouri from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, February 3. Games will be held at the following locations:

The mission of Special Olympics Missouri is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

It provides opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
