ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for an alleged violent crime.
On Monday, police arrested Melissa L. Pospisil, 36, Atchison in the 700 block S Street on a requested charge of battery and on a Jefferson County warrant for failure to appear in court, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
In Sept. 2021 police arrested her on a felony warrant and in 2020 she was jailed for aggravated failure to appear following two arrests in 2019 for failure to appear, according to online jail records.
