Edna M. Shipley, 102, Cameron, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024.
She was born on May 6, 1922, to George Sr. and Anna (Welebir) Transue in Newark, New Jersey.
She proudly served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. For her dedication and bravery, Edna was a well loved and respected resident at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Missouri.
Edna was a member of the Red Hat Society, participating in monthly meetings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Ruth Pitts and George Transue Jr, and great-grandson, Dylan Ching.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Lemley, Kathryn Dietrich and Skip Shipley; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren who will continue to cherish her memory.
Graveside Farewell Services and Interment 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Memorial Park Cemetery. The procession will leave from Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
