Shirley Belle (Wall) Punzo, 84, of St. Joseph, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Shirley was born October 19, 1938 in St. Joseph to Samuel and Nancy Wall. She was married to Harvey Riley. They later divorced and she married Charles Punzo, Jr. They divorced and she was engaged to Ron Thompson. He preceded her in death. Shirley was a member of McCarthy Baptist Church. She was employed as a housekeeper by Heartland West Hospital for 23 years.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clifton Wall, sisters Maxine Garvis and Lucille Pottoroff.
Survivors include sons David Riley of Salt Lake City, UT, Mark Riley of St. Joseph, MO, stepdaughter who Shirley thought of as a daughter Cherie Phillips (Danny ) of St. Joseph, MO, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service 5:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2023 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Jeremiah Bradford officiating.
