For the first time ever, the MINK League is ranking it's top 30 prospects during the season, and this week released the first rankings highlighting the best players from the summer college baseball league.
The St. Joseph Mustangs had nine players in the Top 30. Mustangs catcher and Atchison alum Boston Bruce was the top-ranked player in the MINK League. Also ranked from the Mustangs was Wyatt Doak at No. 7, Bruce's Johnson County Communtiy College teammate Cooper Westra at No. 9.
Benton alum Chris Coy at No. 14, Eden Meyers at No. 15, and Lafayette alum Brayden Luikart at No. 16. Missouri Western teammates Seth Winkler and Micah Kobuszewski were also ranked in the Top 30. Winkler came in at No. 18 while Kobuszewski was at No. 27. Rounding out the list for St. Joseph was Zack Craft at No. 29.
Chillicothe had six players ranked, including Northwest Missouri State's Jordi Ventura at No. 20, and North Central Missouri College's Koby Wagers (No.6), Max Wagers (No.11), Alex Somaza (No.12), and JP Gonzalez (No.13), with Carroll and Nevada each having four. The North Missouri Natty's had three in the rankings while Clarinda and Joplin each had two.
The MINK League is collaborating with LJ Hatch, a former professional baseball player with experience as a scouting director and player development, to create this Top 30 ranking with insight into each player. You can find the Top 30 list HERE.
