The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce recently launched an online job resource for job hunters and for employers looking to hire.

Kristi Bailey with the Chamber says the Uncommon Life program and website was created before the pandemic as a talent recruitment program. Bailey says now its focus is to help residents experiencing unemployment due to COVID-19.

“We’ve had a lot of our current residents find themselves unemployed so we’ve had to change directions," Bailey says. "So on our new webpage we’ve added not only the job listings we’ve had before for both large and small employers, but now we have a resume bank.”

Bailey says anyone looking for a job can find local open positions or post their own resume for employers to find. Bailey adds there's other resources available on the online job center.

“Lots of good information about unemployment workshops, how to file for unemployment, how to do some online learning through this program called Coursera, links to different educational places where people can find education while they’re unemployed.”
