KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Pinch-hitter Ramon Urias hit a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth inning, then added a two-run double in the ninth, helping the Baltimore Orioles overcome a blown seven-run lead in a 13-10 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
Gunnar Henderson and Anthony Santander hit homers and Cedric Mullins also drove in three for the Orioles, who led 8-1 when their bullpen began to struggle.
Kansas City went ahead on Bobby Witt Jr.'s single in the seventh, but then reliever Aroldis Chapman walked two batters and gave up Urias's single in the eighth. Yennier Cano earned the win in relief for Baltimore.
The Royals next take on the Athletics Friday evening with first pitch at 7:10. Coverage begins at 6:30 on KFEQ (680, 95.3) in St. Joseph.
