Sandra S. Huber, 77 years, St. Joseph, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at a local nursing home.
She was born September 18, 1946, in Buchanan County and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hilda Huber.
Sandra retired from the cafeteria department of Heartland Health in 2012 after 30 plus years of service.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and for a short time was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Sandra enjoyed crocheting and also loved cooking and baking, especially making springerle cookies at Christmas time.
Sandra is survived by her sisters, Elaine Metzinger and Karen Huber, and three nephews, Craig Metzinger, and wife Shelly; Jason Metzinger, and wife Kourtney; and Bryan Metzinger, and wife Kate. She is also survived by great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4715 Frederick Avenue, St. Joseph. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church. Memorials may be made and given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, St. Joseph.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Heaton~Bowman~Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
