Aaron Franklin Ford, 43, a lifelong St. Joseph resident passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Mosaic Life Care, after a lengthy battle with alcoholism.
Aaron was born on March 19, 1980 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a 1998 graduate of Lafayette High School and graduated from the The Missouri Western State University Law Enforcement Academy.
Aaron worked in law enforcement his entire career and spent the last six years as a security officer for Allied Universal.
Aaron was a proud father and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and fishing. He was also a baseball enthusiast and enjoyed attending the Mustangs games and following the Royals.
Aaron is survived by his daughter, Sydni Ford; mother and step-father, Carol and Michael Wylie; sister, Betsy Leidy (Robert); niece and nephew, Claire and Kaleb Leidy; aunt, Connie Ford-Hale (Darren); uncle, Kirby Ford (Martha) and his dog, Marsee.
Aaron was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Malaya Ford; father, Bradley Ford; maternal grandparents, Andrew and Zoa Hurd; paternal grandparents, Claude and Bonnie Ford and paternal step-grandparents, William and Florence Wylie.
Celebration of Life 2:00-5:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Community Presbyterian Church, 5409 St. Joseph Avenue, where food and fellowship will be held. A covered dish or dessert would be most appreciated.
