Leland Cole April 10, 1935-December 27, 2025

Leland Leroy Cole, 90, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at LaVerna Manor, surrounded by his loving companion and children.

He was born on April 10, 1935, in Bolckow, Missouri, to the late Wilson and Ruth (Campbell) Cole.

Leland graduated from Savannah High School in 1952 and proudly served his country in the United States Army in France on active duty for two years. He also served in the Army Reserves for four years. Following his military service, he worked most of his life as a truck driver, delivering fuel and grain.

He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed restoring tractors, riding motorcycles and horses, and camping.

Leland was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving corgi, Buddy.

He is survived by his children; daughter, Diane Cole Zahnd; son, Randy Cole (Debi); loving companion, Patsy Goodpasture; grandsons, Nicholas Cole (Stephanie), and Christopher Cole (Bri); great-granddaughter Violet Cole; brothers, Gary Cole (Ann), Robert Cole (Delores); and sister, Ruth Ann Frost; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leland has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel.  A graveside service and inurnment will be held this spring at Bennett Lane Cemetery.  There will be a register book to sign at our chapel.
