3 hospitalized after jeep overturns, strikes trees

MERCER COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just before 9p.m. Monday in Mercer County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Justin T. Sharp, 26, Mercer, was westbound on U.S. 36 and Highway D six miles west of Princeton.

The jeep traveled off the road, overturned and struck several trees.

Mercer County Ambulance transported Sharp and passengers Kayla M. Brown, 24, Mercer, and a 12-year-old boy from Excelsior Springs to Harrison County Community Hospital. The juvenile was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
