Teresa K. Anderson, 69 of St. Joseph, MO went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Living Community in St. Joseph. Teresa was born in Jameson, MO on September 4, 1955 to Dale & Frances (Richards) Alexander. She was married to Mike Anderson in St. Joseph on April 29th, 1991 and he preceded her in death.
Teresa was a loving and generous soul. Her passion for nursing goes back as far as 5th grade when she knew she was called to be a nurse. Even after retirement from the hospital she continued to help others. Teresa has always been willing to lend a helping hand to her family, her friends, and her church. She opened her home weekly to be a gathering space for women to read and study the Bible together and build community. This inspired others to open their homes for the same reasons. Teresa will be remembered for her generosity, her love, and her determination to do what she believed was right.
Survivors include her daughter, Megan (Brock) Langley of Anchorage, AK; sisters, Kathy Alexander of St. Joseph, Patty (Bob) Adkison of Jameson, MO, and Suzy (Kenney) Whitney of Branson, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Lisa Gann.
Visitation with family will be 5:00pm-7:00pm Monday, September 23rd, 2024 at Green Valley Baptist Church in St. Joseph.
