Robert “Bob” F. Leonardo, 80, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025.
He was born April 9, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, to Joseph and Helen (Noel) Leonardo.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era and later served many years in the Army National Guard.
Bob married Vicki Lynn Dyke. She preceded him in death earlier this year.
He had worked at Dugdale Foods and Mead Paper for many years before becoming a correctional officer at the Western Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center.
He loved golfing and being outdoors.
Bob was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, who was known for his strong will and determination. If he wanted something to happen, it happened.
He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Beverly Ann Cast; and brother, Joseph Leonardo.
Survivors include his son, Michael Dean Leonardo; sister, Patricia Brinegar; several nieces and nephews; and good friends and neighbors, Jonathan Anderson and his wife, Rachel.
