Marjorie Sue Leslie, 83, of St Joseph, MO passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her home. She was born March 1, 1940 in Albany, MO, daughter of Elizabeth and Herman Parsons. She graduated from Clarksdale High School, class of 1957 and later attended Platt Business College. She worked at TBK Clinic and Interserv as a Medical Secretary for many years. Marjorie was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved and enjoyed caring for her family. She also enjoyed cooking and was deep in her faith and loved reading the bible. She was a member of King Hill Christian Church. Marjorie was preceded in death by parents, husband, William "Sonny" Leslie, Jr., children, Jim Leslie, Kathy Leslie, Judith Leslie, Mary Beth Kerns, and Jane Leslie, sisters, Jean Ann James and Evelyn Mapel and granddaughter, Nicole Hatheway. Survivors include daughter, Sandy (Rick) Hatheway of St. Joseph, sisters, Betty McIntosh and Mary Kay Reid, grandchildren, Shawn Brown, Heather (Jayson) Lindley, Josh Hatheway, Jared Hatheway and Jessica Hatheway, great-grandchildren, Conner, Jayden, and Cohen and numerous nieces and nephews,Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home, with Interment following at Mount Auburn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday at Rupp Funeral Home.
