A retired agri-businessman from Trenton has been appointed to the Coordinating Board for Higher Education by Gov. Mike Parson.

Phillip Hoffman, along with his brother, managed GFG Agriservices, which acquired his family business in 2014 until his retirement in 2017. He and his brother now own a cow-calf operation in Trenton. Hoffman is active in his local community, serving as a member of the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce and the University of Missouri Thompson Farm Advisory Board.

Hoffman graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in agronomy.
