Lee Ann Ritzinger, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023.
She was born June 3, 1951, in St. Joseph to Dale and Barbara (Bullard) Burgess.
Lee Ann married Phillip Ritzinger, and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Lee Ann worked as a corrections officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections for several years. She was of the Baptist faith, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Lee Ann enjoyed reading, crocheting, and being with her family members. She was a proud breast cancer survivor, with a funny and kind spirit. Lee Ann never knew a stranger. Her brother said she was the best roller-skater he had ever met.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; uncle, Richard; and great aunt and uncle, John and Doris Davis.
Survivors include her daughter, Rachel Williams (Larry); son, Michael Jones (Jennifer); brother, Wayne Burgess; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, 3 nieces and a whole squad.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M., Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will gather with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
