An investigation continues into the cause of the fire that destroyed the Auto Medics shop on Sherman Avenue Wednesday evening.
St. Joseph fire inspectors say the fire caused an estimated $700,000 in damage, destroying the building and some vehicles inside. Firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after 6:30 and had the fire under control just before 10 o’clock, keeping it from spreading to other properties. No one was harmed either in the fire or fighting it.
Seven fire trucks responded to the fire.
The investigation continues.
