Driver hospitalized after pickup goes airborne

HARRISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 9p.m. Friday in Harrison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Chevy Pickup driven by Preston M. Wilmes, 49, Winterset, IA., was northbound on Interstate 35 two miles north of Bethany.

The pickup traveled off the west side of the road, struck a crossover, went airborne and came to rest in the median.

NTA ambulance transported Wilmes to Harrison County Hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
