BROWN COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 1130a.m. Tuesday in Brown County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Kenworth semi driven by Tanner J.. Shobney, 30, Saint Marys, Kansas, was westbound on U.S. 36 just west of U.S. 75.
The semi crossed the center line and struck a 2007 Kenworth semi that was legally parked on the shoulder of the highway. The driver Matthew D. Cairns, 47, Batesville, Indiana, was standing outside the vehicle when the accident occurred.
EMS transported Cairns and Shobney to the Sabetha hospital. Shobney was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
