Lloyd Wayne Jewett, 82, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was born to Guy and Josephine Jewett on May 11, 1942, in Craig, Missouri. He graduated from Craig High School in 1960.
Wayne was a car enthusiast and worked as a service and detail manager, among other jobs. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially Kentucky Wildcats basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Wayne's father called him Toughy when he was younger. That toughness served him well later in life. He had a giving spirit and was a friend to many.
Wayne is survived by his children, Marty Jewett, Chris Jewett, and Dianna Jewett; grandchildren, Jory Jewett (Leudy), Anthony LaMarche, and Meghan LaMarche (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Maria, John, Anna, and Barnabas Jewett; brother, Guy (Phyllis) Jewett; and sister-in-law, Kay Jewett.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Gene, siblings Colleen, Oliver, Harold, Joan, Shirley, and grandson Jeremiah.
The family wishes to thank Mosaic Hospice and his caregivers at Abundant Acres Care and Rehab.
Wayne was cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
