Bishop LeBlond High School named Kimberly Huss as its next principal.

Huss says there will be some changes to the school. She’s just not certain what those changes will entail.

“There will be some changes in Catholic education in St. Joseph,” Huss tells St. Joseph Post. “We just have to make sure that Bishop LeBlond continues to be a vibrant part of that Catholic community.”

Huss says it’s hard to leave the classroom and some coaching, because she loved teaching her student.

“My plan is to try to stay connected by visiting classrooms as often as possible, but also continue to teach our younger teachers and our less experienced teachers to become better at their craft and so who I am teaching just becomes a little bit different rather than not teaching at all,” says Huss.

Huss says she hopes students will become immersed in the positive school culture.

“I am looking forward to building a culture inside our school that is positive and has great school spirit,” says Huss.

Huss says she will continue to coach some for the school. Huss had been assistant principal for LeBlond since 2016 and taught at LeBlond since 2004.

Huss says her goal as principal is to advance the mission of the school. She says the goal of the school is to prepare students for secondary education and for their futures. Huss started in her position as principal at the beginning of this month, July 1st.
