Glenn Fankhauser, 80, Cosby, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025.
He was born January 10, 1945 on the family farm in Cosby to Louis and Mildred (Schneider) Fankhauser. He attended the old Eminence School near Cosby and graduated from Savannah High School.
On October 25, 1969, Glenn married Gail Dixon. They shared 56 years of love, hard work and laughter before his passing.
Glenn worked on the family dairy farm, eventually taking it over and running it for the rest of his life.
He was a life-long member of Hope United Church of Christ in Cosby.
In rare respites from farm work, Glenn enjoyed annual fishing trips to Lake Kabetogama, Minnesota, with family and friends.
Glenn treasured time with his family, who knew him as lots of fun, ornery, telling jokes and handing out nicknames. He also enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s events.
Glenn leaves a legacy for his family of many years of hard work, but also of enjoying life along the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sherrill Logan; and brother-in-law, Dale Helling.
