DEKALB COUNTY –A woman was injured in an accident just before 5p.m. Thursday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Chevy Equinox driven by Leona C. Umberger, 85, Fairfax, South Dakota, was eastbound on U.S. 36 just east of Taylor Road two miles west of Stewartsville.
The vehicle entered the passing lane, traveled into the median, across the westbound lanes of the highway and struck a tree.
DeKalb-Clinton ambulance transported Umberger to Mosaic Life Care. She was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
