The St. Joseph Mustangs lost to the Clarinda A's, 8-3, on Monday at Clarinda Municipal Stadium.
The Mustangs committed two errors in the loss and were outhit 11-7. Mason Holton went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Savannah native Noah Bodenhausen scored two of the team’s three runs.
Benton alum Tanner Schmidt took the loss on the mound. He made the start and lasted just one inning, allowing two earned runs and five walks. The Mustangs’ pitching staff walked 10 batters in Monday’s game.
St. Joseph has lost three in a row as their record falls to 6-5. The Mustangs are at Clarinda again on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
