Harold “Pete” Burchett, 94, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
He was born April 27, 1931 in De Kalb, Missouri, to Claude and Eva (Gilley) Burchett.
Pete proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 25 years, retiring as a staff sergeant. Pete was a farmer after retirement.
On June 12, 2015, Pete married Kathy Townsend. She survives of the home.
He was a member of the VFW and a longtime member of Faucett Baptist Church.
He enjoyed playing Bingo and shooting pool.
A very quiet man with a big heart, Pete liked to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Linda Gallagher.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; children, Harold D. Burchett, John Kempt (Tara), Kevin Ranner (Jennie), Harold O. Burchett, and Cheryl Ramseier (Doug); eight step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside Farewell Services and Interment 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
