Benji, 48, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025; following complications of a stroke.
He was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri to Thomas D. and Cathy L. (Carrel) Sontheimer.
Benji was a proud graduate of Lafayette High School, class of 1994. Carrying the work ethic instilled in him into his professional life; his career began at the young age of 16. Over the years, he dedicated his skills to BJ's Auto, Anderson Ford, Annigan King Hill Body Shop and Altec.
Benji had a passion for fast and loud cars, the freedom of riding his Harley Davidson; especially in poker runs and charity events. He also enjoyed the thrill of a loud sound system. He found joy in the simple pleasure of good Mexican food complimented by a cold beer shared with family and friends.
Those who knew Benji will remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest, with a smile that could light up a room and a heart that was generous and kind.
