JASPER COUNTY — Two people died in an accident just after 10:30p.m. Tuesday in Jasper County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Chevy HHR driven by Janet S. Edwards, Sarcoxie, was westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 44 three miles east of Fidelty.
A westbound 2005 Chevy Malibu driven by Andrew J. Wilson,91, Neosho, struck the SUV head-on.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene and were transported the the Jasper County mortuary. They were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
