
Missouri dominated on both sides of the ball on Homecoming in Columbia as the Tigers earned a 20-1o victory over Kentucky. The win for the Tigers snapped a five game skid against the Wildcats.
First year head coach Eli Drinkwitz said that he was "shocked by these stats" and that he had "never seen a game like this, as the Tigers defense held Kentucky to 145 total yards of offense, 47 passing and 98 rushing, which is the first time since 2016 that Mizzou allowed less the 150 total yards.
For the second time this season running back Larry Rountree III ran for over 100 yards, tallying 126 yards on the ground on 37 carries, adding two touchdowns. Rountree has now moved into third place on Mizzou's all time rushing yards list, running for 3,144 yards in his career, and fifth on Mizzou's all time rushing touchdowns list, getting his 28th and 29th in this game.
With one game already being postponed until later this season, the Tigers are now 2-2 on the abbreviated conference only season. Next up the Tigers will travel to Gainsville on Saturday, for their rescheduled matchup with the Gators. Kickoff is set for 6:30 pm
