Melissa Faye (Eckert) Powell, 57, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024.
She was born on March 5, 1966, in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Faye Eckert.
On December 9, 1994, she married Dennis Ray Powell. They were married for 25 years before Dennis preceded her in death on October 21, 2020.
A wonderful person and mom, Melissa was an artist with a good work ethic who also liked horses and to go shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Powell; and her son, Christopher Ray Powell.
Survivors include her son, Nicholas Powell; parents, Bob and Faye Eckert; brother, Ben Eckert, and numerous nieces, including Tyshell Eckert, and nephews, other extended family and friends.
