ATCHISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Wednesday in Atchison County, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Freightliner semi driven by a 61-year-old man from British Columbia was southbound on Interstate two miles north of Rockport. The driver failed to yield to traffic stopped for a crash ahead. The semi struck the towed unit of a 2022 Freightliner driven by a 39-year-old Utah man. The impact pushed the 2022 Freightliner into a towed unit of a 2026 Volvo semi driven by a 47-year-old Oklahoma City man.
Atchison Holt ambulance transported the driver from Utah to Fairfax Community Hospital. There were no other injuries. All three drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releaes names of accident victims.
