Buchanan County records 50th COVID-19 related death

Buchanan County has recorded its 50th coronavirus-related death, a man in his 80’s with underlying health conditions.

St. Joseph health officials report 36 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the county total since the pandemic began to 4,224.

Buchanan County reported nine new cases on Monday, 35 on Tuesday, and 36 yesterday.

Andrew County reports 747 total cases, up 14. Andrew County has recorded 12 deaths.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports 235 total cases.

Mosaic Life Care reports 58 COVID-19 patients are being treated at its St. Joseph hospital as of Thursday morning with four being treated in Maryville.

Mosaic has now tested 43,652 area residents with 4,064 testing positive. Mosaic is awaiting results from 257 tests.

Missouri health officials report 193,023 total cases, resulting in 3,088 deaths.

Kansas health officials report 92,215 total cases and 1,087 deaths.
