Dennis Craig Ellis, 72, of Atchison, KS died on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Mosaic Life Health Center, St. Joseph, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Pastor David King Officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison. Memorial contributions are the donor’s choice and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Dennis was born on December 7, 1952, in Atchison, KS, the son of Jessie L. and Minnie L. (Brown) Ellis. He attended schools in Atchison and worked as a laborer for the former Rockwell and Atchison Casting Foundry. He also worked for the Atchison County Cooperative.
Dennis enjoyed movies, fishing, hunting, electronics and playing Nintendo.
Survivors include his wife Jennice G. Stout, of the home, one daughter, Denise and Russell Mattox, Rushville, MO, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Amy Ellis, four brothers William, Norman, Jesse and Clyde Ellis.
