Fannie Lane Bottorff, 77, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025 after a hard-fought battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born on October 25, 1948 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Fannie will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she gave so freely and the light she brought to the lives around her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lynn Bottorff.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Bottorff, wife, Desiree; two twin daughters, Carrie Stephens and Sherrie McVicker; six grandchildren, Taylor Bottorff, Colton McVicker, Grant Bottorff, Ashley McVicker, Megan Stephens, and Cyrus Bottorff, along with other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Beyond her dedication as wife, mother, and grandmother, valuing what truly mattered: family, love, and kindness, Fannie attended beauty school and became a highly respected hairdresser. She poured her heart into her customers. She worked as a teacher's assistant, spending much of her career with special needs students at Kooken Elementary in Arlington, Texas. She devoted her life to uplifting and supporting countless young and elderly lives, leaving a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and families alike. Her natural talent and sensitivity in the classroom were recognized by many.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home, The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday December 19, 2025 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Services entrusted to the Rupp Funeral Home.
