Jeep strikes mailbox after Mo. teen fell asleep while driving

ANDREW COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 11a.m. Sunday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Pateol reported a 2015 Jeep driven by Marshall A. Underwood, 18, Amazonia, was northbound on Route CC four miles west of Savannah.

The driver fell asleep. The Jeep treveled off the road, struck a mailbox, an embankment and came to rest on the west side of the road.

A private vehicle transported Underwood to Mosaic. He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
