Daniel Marcel “Boo” Hayes, 51, of St. Joseph, MO, was called home January 3, 2023.
Daniel was born June 13, 1971, to Lawrence A. and Linda Hayes in Leavenworth, KS. He was a member of Davis Temple in Plattsburg, MO. He attended Benton High School and later obtained his Diesel Mechanic Certification. He also went to culinary school.
Daniel was a devoted family man and a jack of all trades. There was hardly anything he was unable to do, and if he couldn't do it, he would figure out how to get it done. He could light up a room with his infectious smile and bring joy to everyone. He was very expressive and passionate about his family, friends and everything he loved.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda E. Hayes; his grandparents, Howard L. May, Sylvia and Lawrence L. Hayes, Ora D. and Leila May; his sibling, Lawrence R. Hayes; his aunts, Jenny, Debbie and Aggie Hayes; his uncle, Timmy Hayes.
Survivors include: his father, Lawrence A. {Freda} Hayes; his grandmother, Ruth May; his daughters, Jalisa Irvin, Tekaila Williams, Taisha {Melvin} Jacobs and Destiny Hayes; his sons, Deshon Goodwin, Da’Lon Hayes, Tiki Fanning, Demiko Fanning and Tyzell Harrington; his sisters, Phelisha Hayes, Larolyn {Brandon} Hayes-Dodd, Lamia Byrd and Famika {Eric} Grimmett-Peters; his aunts, Arlene Wilkinson, Linda {Donald} Bundy, Margaret Hayes and Sonja Hayes-Sheeley; his uncles, Dennis May, Daniel May Sr. {Jodi}, Keith {Toni} Hayes, James Hayes, Billy {Edna} Hayes, Greg {Tracy} Hayes; 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Healing farewell services will be held 1:00PM Saturday Jan. 14, 2023 at the Greater Jesus Tabernacle St Joseph MO., the family will gather with friends 6-8pm Friday at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
