Leonard "Bob" Robert Lowry 77, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Kansas City, MO.
He was born January 5, 1949 in Denver, CO, son of the late Mary Jo and Leonard Lowry Sr. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School, and he married Edie Beagle on July 30, 1996. He worked at City of St. Joseph at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Jacob Fleming, a step son, Tim Clark, and sister, Barbara Jean Blocker.
Survivors include: wife, Edie Virginia Lowry of Independence, MO, children: Lisa Lowry, Leonard "Bob" Robert Lowry III, and Cathy Morris, step children: Jon (Lisa) Clark, Chris (Christina) Clark, and Ron Fleming, 23 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorial services, public live stream, and Military Honors will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, February 9, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home.
