Sierra Elaine White, 76, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024. She was born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, on December 1, 1947 to William Chester and Frances May (Sharp) McBee.
Sierra married William "Bill" Joseph White, on July 23, 1964.
A Lafayette Highschool graduate of 1966, Sierra embraced a life of dedication and care as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered.
Sierra found solace in her faith as a member of Eastside Baptist Church and then later Green Valley Baptist Church. Her faith was evident through her active participation in numerous church activities. She was also a remarkable seamstress, with the ability to sew anything from a simple stitch to intricate designs.
Gardening and flower arranging were among Sierra's favorite pastimes, bringing beauty to both her home and her community. Her generous spirit led her to volunteer at local schools, ensuring a positive impact on future generations. She was also an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed listening to Vince Gill as well.
Sierra is survived by her husband, Bill; two sons, Jeffrey William White and Jacob Joseph White (Cassie); grandchildren, Zachary White and Abygale Marsh (Chase); sisters, Barbara Baker and Wanda Howk.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Chester and Frances May (Sharp) McBee. Though her stepmother, Hattie McBee, raised her from a young age, Sierra's nurturing nature was a reflection of the love she received and gave throughout her life.
