Mo. woman, 5-year-old injured after SUV rear-ends a farm tractor

MERCER COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 7a.m. Thursday in Mercer County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Dodge Durango driven by a 28-year-old Mercer woman was southbound on U.S 65 four miles north of Princeton. The driver was not paying attention, according to the MSHP report. The SUV rear-ended a 2001 John Deere Farm Tractor driven by a 53-year-old Princeton man.

Mercer County ambulance transported the SUV driver and her 5-year-old male passenger to Wright Memorial Hospital. The tractor driver was not injured. The SUV driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
