ATCHISON—Two people were injured in an accident just after 6p.m. Tuesday in Atchison.
A Dodge Dakota pickup driven by Remington Roberts, 17, Everest, was northbound on 14th Street and was turning west onto Main Street, according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The pickup and a southbound Chevrolet Equinox driven by David Lackey, 71, Atchison, collided.
EMS was on the scene and treated and evaluated both drivers and a passenger but did not transport anyone.
Remington Roberts and his 9-year-old passenger were taken by private vehicle to Amberwell Hospital for examination. Roberts was cited for failure to yield.
